DEFENCE WATCH is a monthly Journal, which deals with defence and security affairs and provides a medium for expert analysis and interpretation of current events in global, regional, and sub-regional scene, from an Indian perspective. The Journal was launched in September 2001 and it is now in its 9th year of continuous publication.
The journal is designed to provide opportunity to readers for debate and discussion on matters of concern relating to defence and security in its first part, under the title Readers' Forum. The next section comprises insightful and analytical articles written by distinguished persons who have held top positions in the government in the defence and security organizations. This is followed by valuable documents, which provide useful information to readers about defence and security policies of India and other countries of our interest. The Journal has a short section, which contains significant defence and security related news of events during the previous month. Finally, there is a section on book reviews.
The Journal aims to cater to several groups of readers, starting from the members of the armed forces. para-military and police organizations, the political leadership, and the common people concerned with defence and security affairs.
It aims to bridge
the knowledge gap between strategic experts and the educated class on
issues vital to national security, which affect the lives of common people.
